Staffing and Selection: Functional Assessment
Let us help evaluate the effectiveness of your credit union’s recruiting and selection functions. We can analyze all the major areas and processes including: using job descriptions, writing advertisements, advertising, recruiting, networking and sourcing approach, resume review and selection, screening interview, interview questions, selection tools and manager training. By the end, your credit union will have a plan of action to increase the effectiveness of your recruiting and selection processes.
Additional Recruiting and Selection Options:
- Critique, discuss and develop current position description to identify required talent qualifications and experience.
- Develop recruiting strategies, including (but not limited to) writing employment ad for an online employment posting portal.
- Conduct database search (upon credit union request to purchase database access).
- Evaluate candidate responses and submissions.
- Select 6-10 candidates for further consideration.
- Develop initial interview approach and perform phone screens with viable candidates.
- From phone screens, recommend individuals to be personally interviewed.
- Develop strategic behavior-based interview questions to be used by management or CU HR Solutions consultant(s) during the interview process.
- Partner with management to select and conduct candidate profile assessment and/or testing methodology that will best assist in the selection process.
- Conduct in-depth interviews with all relevant candidates. Interviews may be conducted at the CUcorp office (in Livonia) or at your credit union, depending on candidate schedules and client preference.
- Summarize candidate attributes and present final candidates to the designated client contact.
- Conduct or manage process for final candidate employment reference check and/or background check.
- Coordinate final candidate interviews for credit union client.
- Continue ongoing communications with the final candidates to maintain interest until a final decision is reached.
- Extend and negotiate offer with candidate of choice.
- Contact all applicants who were not chosen for the position.
